Representatives of  Serbia took part for the first time in the traditional Indigenous Day (Columbus Day) parade in Chicago. At the head of the Serbian part of the parade was Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in Chicago Damjan Jovic with his spouse Aleksandra Jovic. Traditional folk dance ansamble “Oko sokolovo” headed by their choreographer Milan Andrijanic showed the citizens of Chicago traditional Serbian folk dances and attire.
