Printer Friendly Version BELGRADE MARATHON AND THE TOURIST ORGANIZATION OF BELGRADE AT THE CHICAGO MARATHON @ 26 January 2020 08:00 AM

A traditional marathon was held in Chicago on October 13, 2019, involving about 46,000 runners from about 140 countries, about one third of which came from overseas. The marathon was serviced by over 12,000 volunteers and followed by over 1.7 million people. The economic effects of the Chicago Marathon are estimated at nearly $ 400 million, including $ 20 million for humanitarian purposes.

The Republic of Serbia was represented at this year's Chicago Marathon by Mr Dejan Nikolic, Director of the Belgrade Marathon and Mr. Srdjan Coic, Director in the Turist Organisation of Belgrade. At the Abbott Health & Fitness Expo they have organized Serbian booth. In addition they had number of meetings and presentations of Belgrade, amongst which we wish to highlight the media "Ppresentation of Sister Cities", including Belgrade.
