A Business Forum was held at the Consulate General on the on the topic of "Serbian companies and Serbian products in the US - experience, challenges and mutual support." Forum was organized in cooperation with the Serbian-American Chamber of Commerce.

Key-note speakers at the Forum were Zachary Harris, Advisor at the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Zoran Golubovich from the Serbian-American Chamber of Commerce who is the representative of the United States at the Business Council of Diaspora with the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Dejan Radulovic, Acting Consul General.

The prime focus was the importance which the Government of the Republic of Serbia attaches to attracting the investments and improving economic ties with the United States. In this context, they expressed the support for initiatives that contribute to the strengthening of economic cooperation, as well as the placement of Serbian products and services in the US market. The Consulate General reinstated readiness and openness on its part to help interested investors and business people in the realization of their initiatives.

It was an opportunity to meet business people, for presentations, exchange of experience in placing Serbian products and services in the US market. It was pointed out that there is an increasing presence of Serbian companies, especially small and medium-sized companies which open their representative offices in the US and expand their business in the US market. In this context, the companies that were presented were the ones operating in Chicago or that have increased the business cooperation between Serbia and the United States (JPS Chicago -JPC from Belgrade, DES doo from Subotica and Lav (Lion) Imports from Chicago).

After the program, the Forum held a cocktail reception for the participants and guests that was sponsored by companies that were presented and by the Serbian-American Chamber of Commerce.
