Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia wishes to remind citizens of the Republic of Serbia that it is no longer possible to travel using a passport of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY), the so-called “blue passport”, regardless of the expiration date entered in the passport. Passports of the FR of Yugoslavia ceased to be valid on December 31, 2011.

Bearing in mind that the holiday and travel seasons are approaching, Consulate General wishes to remind citizens of the Republic of Serbia to check their travel documents in order to avoid eventual unpleasantness at the onset of their trip.

Consulate General suggests to the holders of the FRY passport to file a timely request for the issuance of biometric passports of the Republic of Serbia. Details regarding the issuance of passports can be found here.
