Serbian Film Festival 2014 took place at the prestigious Muvico 18 film theater in Chicago between 5 – 7 December of this year. Three feature films were presented within the framework of the Festival: "Love isn’t always on time", "So hot was the canon" and "Little Buddo"; also three documentaries: "When your dad buys you an elephant", "Toward the light" and "Lauš".

Festival guests were Mary Žižović, author of the documentary "When your dad buys an elephant" and actress Brankica Sebastijanović who plays a main role in the feature film ""Love isn’t always on time." Following screening of their films, guests were presented to the audience and responded to their questions.

On the occasion of the festival greeting messages were sent by Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Leroy Allala, Executive Director of the Chicago Sister Cities International.

Founder and organizer of the Festival is Slavica Petrovic, publisher of the newspaper "Serbian Mirror" from Chicago. The festival was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Directorate for Diaspora and the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in Chicago.
