Serbian community in Chicago marked the centenary of the death of Serbian composer Stevan Mokranjac. "The Sky Was Filled with Stars" is the name of a series of events marking the anniversary. At the Symposium that was organized Bishop Irinej of Australia and New Zealand, Professor Danica Petrovic, retired (University of Novi Sad) and other presenters spoke about the life and work of composer Mokranjac. The concert of “Branko Radicevic”, the oldest Serbian choral ensemble in North America, was held at the Serbian Orthodox Cathedral in Chicago. They performed the sacred and secular music.
