On March 21-23, 2013 Bozidar Laganin, Director of SIEPA (Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency) and Vladimir Tomic, Assistant Director, visited Chicago and met with the potential American investors. For the last ten years, Serbia has attracted dozens of U.S. investors such as Ball Packaging, Philip Morris, Van Drunen Farms, NCR, Sitel, Microsoft, PepsiCo, Johnson Controls and others. It is expected that american company Cooper Tires will start production in Krusevac, while auto-part manufacturor Cooper Standard will start building a factory in the Sremska Mitrovica in 2013.
