Organized by the Belgrade Cultural Center, Office for Diaspora of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, under patronage of the President of the Republic of Serbia, from 22. until 27. May 2020 Third “All-Serbs Children Festival” will take place. The goal of this manifestation is that young people who live abroad get to know better the country of their origin, its monuments, cultural and historical heritage, as well as to advance their Serbian language skills. Last year this Festival gathered 70 kids from 11 countries, including those from Chicago.

This year, as well as previous years, children will be accommodated in the families of their pears from Belgrade elementary schools, whilst adults (for 5 to 7 children one adult, for 7 to 10 children two adults) will be accommodated in the hotel (half-board). Hotel costs will be covered by the organizer, whilst costs of travel to Belgrade and back will be covered by the participants.

During their visit children will organize one presentation to mark the Day of Ciril and Metod (May 24th), and through the program “Belgrade through the centuries” they will see Kalamegdan. They will also see highlights and museums of the capital of Serbia and have one-day field trip to one of the chosen locations (Vincha, Viminacium or Golubac Fortress).

The group from one country should count between five and ten participants, aged 8 to 13 y/o. The group of 5 to 7 will have one accompanying adult, whilst groups from 7 to 10 participants should have 2 accompanying adults. All participants should be part of the same group dedicated to the preservation of the Serbian tradition and culture (folklore, drama, singing or sport). The program is not tailored for the individual arrivals of the children and parents. Every country can be represented only by one group.

Please let us know ASAP if you are interested to form such a group, to allow us to progress in organizing it. (video)
